Research Assistant in Neurodivergent Women’s Reproductive Health
About this role
Research Assistant in Neurodivergent Women's Reproductive Health
Join the Women's Mental Health Epidemiology group at Karolinska Institutet, where interdisciplinary research bridges obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, and epidemiology to address important questions in women's health across the life course.
Working closely with Dr. Miriam Martini, you will contribute to innovative research on the reproductive health of women with autism and/or ADHD, an area where important health disparities remain understudied. As a research assistant, you will gain hands-on experience working with large-scale population registers and cohorts while contributing to research with the potential to improve health outcomes and societal participation. This position offers an opportunity to develop strong epidemiological research skills within a collaborative and internationally recognized research environment.
Your mission as a research assistant will be to take an active role in our ongoing research aiming to identify reproductive health disparities and contributing factors in women diagnosed with autism/ADHD. You will take responsibility for a research project and follow it through from reviewing the existing literature to conducting the study and preparing the findings for publication. The position is a fixed-term employment for one year.

- Experience of project management and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Good written and spoken English skills.

The following are meriting criteria:
- Prior experience with autism or psychiatry. This can include research experience, clinical experience, or personal experience.
- Prior experience working with large datasets and knowledge of survival analysis.
- Prior experience writing scientific articles.
We attach great importance to personal qualities in this recruitment. As a person, you are:
- Curious

- Ethically minded and respectful of the perspectives of individuals with lived experience of autism and mental health problems
