Research Fellow (Integrated Assessment Modeling)
About this role
ASE is a diverse school focusing on the connections between geosciences, ecology, society and Earth systems. Our approach integrates these disciplines to examine big environmental challenges both in Southeast Asia and globally. We conduct cutting-edge research on topics that include ecology, geohazards, climate change, sea-level rise, environmental sustainability, conservation of environment and biodiversity, and interactions between environment and society. For more information on ASE please visit https://www.ntu.edu.sg/ase. The Yanyan Cheng research group is seeking a Research Fellow. This position is part of a Singapore NRF funded research project hosted by ASE. The Research Fellow will help advance research in Regional Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) modeling, especially the GCAM. This research theme can help the understanding of the complex interactions within the Land-Energy-Water nexus, and how land and water constraints shape global and regional pathways toward a resilient future. The research will be shared through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations that will highlight NTU's contributions to building a resilient future. This is a one-year appointment and potentially renewable based on performance and funding availability. Key Responsibilities: Job Requirements: ASE seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from all and recruit on the basis of merit, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, marital status and family responsibilities, or disability. We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Hiring Institution: NTU
