Research Assistant in Acceptability of Risk Stratified Bowel Cancer Screening

This role is part of the CRUK funded Bowel-Star project and offers the opportunity to work across a multi-method, interdisciplinary programme. You'll help shape the future of cancer screening by identifying acceptability of using a combination of individual factors determining bowel cancer risk and how these can be used to offer a more personalised cancer screening experience.

You will be a highly qualified Health Psychology researcher with an MSc in Health Psychology and extensive experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of health research studies. Expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, survey development (including Qualtrics), cognitive interviewing techniques, and living systematic reviews. Strong subject knowledge in cancer early detection, health inequalities, and bowel cancer screening, alongside experience working within large multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research collaborations. Enthusiastic educator with excellent communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills.
