About this role

The Ang Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai at New York City is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to develop innovative spatial omics, imaging, and stem cell biology tools to explore cellular plasticity in health and disease. Leveraging our recent successful efforts in developing a novel spatial epigenomics and generating a blueprint to obtain of cortical neurons via forced expression of transcription factors, we are developing novel advanced imaging and stem cell biology approaches, integrating with genome editing and screening methods, to understand cellular plasticity in health and disease.

This is a highly interdisciplinary position. Candidates must have a PhD in bioengineering, biophysics, neuroscience, stem cell biology, computational biology, machine learning, or a related field. Applicants should have received their PhD within the past two years or expect to complete their PhD before the position begins.

Research projects will be tailored to the applicant’s background and may include but not limited to 1. developing and applying advanced spatial imaging omics to study stem cell processes at single-cell resolution.
2. Engineering novel tools to integrate live-cell imaging with spatial omics.
3. Developing and applying new stem cell differentiation models to understand neurobiology and immunology.

If interested, please email me with 2 references, your CV and a brief description of future research plans.
