Scientist Position
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Scientist to contribute to our company drug discovery and early clinical development efforts, with a focus on lab-based bioanalysis for small molecules and peptides. This position will be based in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Group within the Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) organization at our company Research Laboratories in West Point, PA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for execution and troubleshooting of quantitative bioanalytical methods in support of in vitro studies, delivering high quality data and maintaining bioanalytical laboratory operations compliant with all applicable internal and regulatory guidelines and standard operating procedures. The candidate should be motivated to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree 1-3 years or MS degree 0-2 years in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, biomedical, chemical engineering or related field.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Good understanding of analytical chemistry, including liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Quantitative analysis of small molecules and peptides using LC-MS and other analytical techniques
- Manual and automated sample preparation techniques including protein precipitation and solid phase extraction
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a high-performing team
- Experience or interest in robotics, assay automation, and operation of liquid handlers in support of high throughput workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Clear oral and written communication
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
- Ability to design, interpret and troubleshoot experiments aimed at addressing complex questions
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory notebooks and related record-keeping approaches
- Experience working with cells and cell based assays including the use of aseptic technique
- Experience working within a research-driven pharmaceutical company

The salary range for this role is $87,300.00 – $137,400.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
