Postdoctoral Fellow – Cancer Biology & Epigenetics
About this role
Two full-time Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the Dr. Wenjian Gan Lab in the department of Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. We investigate the mechanistic and physiological roles of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs)—with a focus on arginine methylation—in human cancers. Research in the lab explores how arginine methylation regulates genomic instability, cell metabolism, signal transduction, and tumor progression to identify novel druggable targets. The project employs an integrative toolkit combining protein biochemistry, molecular biology, functional cell assays, genetic mouse models, and 3D patient-derived organoids (PDOs).
