Postdoctoral position – Neuroscience
About this role
Investigate how early-life stress influences the development and maturation of neural circuits in the medial prefrontal cortex, with a focus on the role of purinergic signaling.
Responsibilities
Handling and experimentation with transgenic rodents, including the maternal separation experimental protocol
Ex vivo electrophysiology experiments and optogenetic stimulation
Acquisition, organization, and analysis of the corresponding datasets
Conducting and analyzing behavioral assays at different developmental stages
PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology, or a related field, completed within the last 2 years
Proven experience in ex vivo electrophysiology
Experience handling and conducting experiments with rodents
Experience analyzing electrophysiological datasets in Python or R
Experience with behavioral testing in animal models
Demonstrated track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals
Good written and oral communication skills in Portuguese and English
Experience with optogenetics is a plus
Knowledge of purinergic signaling
