Research Fellow (Neuroscience / Biology / Biomedical Sciences)

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world’s top universities. We are seeking a Research Fellow to investigate sensory processing and neural circuit mechanisms.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct research on mechanosensory and somatosensory circuits and sensory coding.
• Develop and apply behavioural assays, calcium imaging and genetic manipulations to study sensory processing and motor sequence generation.
• Analyse experimental data, maintain reproducible research records and interpret findings in relation to neural circuit mechanisms.
• Prepare publications and project reports, collaborate with the research team and guide students.

   

  Job Requirements

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Research experience in sensory neuroscience, neural circuits or neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Experience with animal models, electrophysiology, behavioural assays and genetic techniques.
  • Proven ability to design experiments, analyse data and publish research findings.
  • Strong scientific writing, communication and teamwork skills.
