Post-doctoral Associate

Mravic Lab at Scripps Research (La Jolla, CA) is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Associate or Staff Scientist (PhD) to computationally design synthetic protein/peptides and experimentally characterize that they modulate the structures and functions of human membrane proteins.  Experience required in A) mammalian cell culture and basic cell bio techniques for measuring protein trafficking (flow cytometry, microscopy) and protein-protein interactions (PPI’s); B) membrane protein biochemistry, purification, and cryo-EM.

Training offered in AI-driven protein/peptide design, molecular modelling/simulations, bioinformatics, protein biophysics, peptide chemistry, high-throughput screening, and protein engineering selection.  Previous experience with GPCRs (signaling assays and cryo-EM) or protein design is highly desirable.
