scRNAseq to understand hormonal control on pubertal transcription in the medial preoptic area

GSE172177 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 10 samples 2025/11/13 GPL19057
Summary
Pubertal maturation aids developments in emotion, cognition and reproduction. The conserved roles of elevated circulating gonadal sex steroids for the continued maturation of the nervous system via steroid hormone receptor mediated gene regulation is well documented. However, critical transcriptional dynamics mediated by steroids throughout puberty in molecularly defined circuitry remains elusive. We investigated pubertal transcriptional dynamics in the medial preoptic area (MPOA), a hypothalamic center for reproductive behaviors, in male and female mice at single cell resolution (scRNAseq).
