Summary
Cellular senescence has been shown to contribute to deliterious cancer phenotyores through modulation of the tumor microenvironment through the SASP. Senescence is induced in ovarian cancer by chemotherapy. Understanding how the SASP modulates gene expression on cancer may lead to novel targets to exploit to increase chemotherapeutic efficacy.
