Summary
In addition to the pathological processes in the vascular wall, atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (CAD) development is affected other tissues, including metabolic tissues such as liver and white adipose tissue (WAT). However, the transcriptional events occurring in metabolic tissues in response to pro-atherosclerotic conditions (hypercholesterolemia and obesogenic diet), remain incompletely understood. Here, we profile liver and WAT gene expression in mouse at increasing exposure levels of atherogenic factors.
