Summary
Resistance to anti-EGFR therapies poses a significant challenge in the management of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. Our previous research has illustrated that AURKA phosphorylates YAP1, leading to increased stability and the induction of stemness, consequently promoting resistance to cetuximab. The AURKA inhibitor alisertib has demonstrated its ability to reinstate cetuximab efficacy in both cell lines and tumors exhibiting YAP1 activation. Thus, we aimed to investigate the transcriptomic alterations provoked by AURKA inhibition in resistant cell lines to elucidate the underlying changes driving these phenotypic shifts. .
