Summary
Recent research has shed light on the influence of sleep deprivation on tumor progression, particularly in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), although the precise underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Several studies have highlighted alterations in immune cell dynamics and intercellular communication as key consequences of sleep deprivation. Moreover, heightened sympathetic nervous system activity has been implicated in this context. To explore these phenomena further, transcriptome sequencing was conducted in tumor-bearing mice subjected to normal sleep conditions versus sleep deprivation. This approach aimed to delineate the molecular mechanisms linking sleep deprivation to NSCLC progression.
