Phenotypic profiling of neutrophils in acute Clostridioides difficile infection identifies a TNF-induced activation signature associated with epithelial damage.

GSE299936 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 5 samples Submitted 2026/04/24 Platform GPL24247
Summary
We performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on enriched neutrophils isolated from murine bone marrow, blood, and colon. This study aimed to investigate neutrophil heterogeneity and plasticity in response to Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) and to elucidate mechanisms of neutrophil-associated tissue damage.
