Pax8 regulates proximal-tubule-specific identity via distal enhancer elements

GSE300117 Mus musculus Genome binding/occupancy profiling by high throughput sequencing 32 samples 2026/07/16 GPL19057
Summary
Pax8 can reversibly modulate proximal-tubule-specific gene expression and epithelial morphology in cultured proximal tubule cells. Pax8 loss dynamically alters activity of distal enhancer elements but not promoters. These observations strongly suggest that Pax8 regulates proximal tubule phenotype via distal enhancer elements
