Summary
Fibroblasts impact epithelial cell development and function and drive the progression of squamous cell carcinoma. We examined how fibroblasts from different tissues impact SCC behaviour and biology in tissue specific manner. Here we report tissue specific interactions between fibroblasts and SCC cell lines that drive invasion and agressive phenotypes in specific tissues but not others.
