Bioinspired, Mitochondria-targeted Single-atom Nanozyme Enhances Bone Regeneration by Reprogramming Stem Cell Energy Metabolism

GSE324502 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 12 samples 2026/03/16 GPL24247
Summary
A bioinspired nanozyme—TPP-DMSN-Fe/Cu—mimics mitochondrial complex IV and targets mitochondria to regulate cellular energy metabolism. This approach markedly boosts bone regeneration in vivo, as demonstrated by enhanced bone volume and mineral density in critical-sized bone defects rat models. The study opens new avenues for mitochondria-targeted therapies in bone repair.
