Hepatocytes promote liver metastasis of pancreatic cancer by providing exogenous serine, 2.

GSE324997 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 16 samples 2026/07/28 GPL24247
Summary
The liver is the major site of metastasis for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). In this work, we describe a mechanism wherein serine sythensis is essential for PDAC liver metastasis. To describe this, we knocked out Phgdh in mouse KPC cells and then co-cultured the cells with mouse hepatocytes.
