Summary
Here, we identify a skull bone marrow (SBM)-glymphatic-brain axis that mediates the trafficking and delivery of cytotoxic CD8 T cells into the ischemic brain parenchyma in human AIS. Single-cell transcriptomic profiling of patients with AIS identifies the SBM as a dynamically responsive CD8 T cell reservoir that is transcriptionally distinct from peripheral blood.
