Natural compounds magnolol and dicoumarol enhance adipogenesis for food production

GSE336373 Mus musculus; Sus scrofa Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 30 samples 2026/07/07 GPL34290GPL34588
Summary
Adipogenic enhancers have potential applications in the production of engineered adipose tissue for future foods and in the study of adipocyte biology. To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying adipogenic enhancement, RNA sequencing was performed on murine 3T3-L1 cells and porcine dedifferentiated fat (DFAT) cells undergoing adipogenic differentiation. Cells were treated with vehicle control, magnolol, dicoumarol, magnolol plus dicoumarol, or rosiglitazone. Transcriptomic profiling was conducted to characterize gene expression changes associated with enhanced lipid accumulation and adipocyte differentiation across species.
