Summary
Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common malignancy of the oral cavity, characterized by extensive molecular alterations that contribute to tumor progression and therapeutic resistance. To investigate the transcriptomic changes associated with OSCC, RNA sequencing was performed on primary OSCC tissues and matched adjacent non-tumor tissues. Differential gene expression and pathway enrichment analyses identified significant dysregulation of the MAPK signaling pathway, with EGFR and HRAS emerging as key altered genes. This dataset provides a transcriptomic resource for identifying molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets in OSCC of Indian patients and supports further investigations into the molecular mechanisms underlying oral carcinogenesis.
