Summary
We performed bulk RNA sequencing of cells that are under neural induction with the WNT3A ligand added at 34 hours to induce posterior neural fates. We observed a sequential order of gene activation, from Wnt target genes to WNT8A and then to HOX genes, suggesting that WNT8A acts downstream of the Wnt signaling pathway and upstream of posterior fate markers.
