Summary
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is the leading risk factor for esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC), a malignancy that exhibits marked resistance to chemotherapy and results in poor clinical outcomes. This study investigates the genome-wide transcriptional adaptations and downstream molecular stress responses of EAC cells following exposure to acidic bile salts (ABS) to mimic the reflux conditions of GERD. The primary objective of this dataset is to define the differential gene expression profiles, altered signaling pathways, and transcriptional networks activated by acute ABS exposure in an EAC model.
