Immune gene signatures in oropharyngeal cancers are associated with inverse prognosis by HPV-status

GSE162738 Homo sapiens Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 51 samples 2025/12/31 GPL24676GPL16791
Summary
In this study, we used RNA sequencing to identify and validate immune gene signatures for OPSCC to classify tumors as hot and cold. Finally, we assessed the prognostic impact of hot and cold immune gene signatures by HPV-status. The ‘hot’ immune signature was associated with a good prognosis in HPV-positive patients and contrarily, a poor prognosis in HPV- negative patients.
