The inhibition of inner mitochondrial fusion in hepatocytes reduces non-alcoholic fatty liver and improves metabolic profile during obesity by modulating bile acid conjugation

GSE217644 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 8 samples Submitted 2025/01/01 Platform GPL21626
Summary
Hepatocyte OPA1 deficiency protects mice from the development of metabolic syndrome by reducing lipid absorption from the diet. OPA1 deficiency affects bile acid conjugation as a consequence of reduced mitochondria-peroxisome-ER tethering.
