Semaglutide attenuates obesity-induced impact on intestinal epithelium

GSE261178 Homo sapiens Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 5 samples Submitted 2025/03/03 Platform GPL24676Platform GPL20795
Summary
Obesity, a complex ailment, has demonstrated promising weight reduction outcomes with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) drugs like semaglutide. Nevertheless, their intricate mechanisms remain elusive. In this study, we constructed single-cell transcriptomic profiles of intestinal epithelium from individuals with normal and high BMI, revealing significant transcriptomic and metabolic alterations.
