Summary
The transition from pachytene to metaphase during meiosis I is an important step ensuring the recombination of homologous chromosomes and successful completion of the first meiotic division. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze the diversity of pachytene and metaphase I spermatocytes.
