Summary
SIGLEC10, also known as sialic-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 10, is a member of the SIGLEC family. SIGLEC10 is expressed on the surface of immune cells and is involved in the regulation of immune responses by recognizing microorganisms or cells with specific sialic acids. Among other cancer types, SIGLEC10 has been identified as a novel tumor-associated macrophage-associated immune checkpoint. This study suggests that siglec10 is an independent prognostic factor in patients with CRC and may be a promising immunotherapeutic target for CRC in the future.
