ANGPT1 as a Prognostic Biomarker in a Large-Scale Pan-cancer Analysis

GSE286446 Homo sapiens Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 13 samples 2025/12/31 GPL24676
Summary
Angiopoietin 1 (ANGPT1) plays a significant role in tumorigenesis, prognosis, and chemoresistance across various cancers. This study demonstrated that ANGPT1 expression is heterogeneous among tumor types, with high expression linked to poor prognosis in multiple cancers and associated with immune infiltration, tumor mutation burden, and drug sensitivity. In acute myeloid leukemia (AML), ANGPT1 was markedly upregulated in patients compared to healthy controls and further elevated in non-responders versus complete remission cases. Functional assays confirmed its role in promoting AML cell proliferation, highlighting ANGPT1 as a promising prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in AML and other malignancies.
