Summary
To assess the morphological dynamics during the differentiation of alveolar epithelial type 2 cells (AT2s) into alveolar epithelial type 1 cells (AT1s), we established an ex vivo differentiation model in 2-dimensional cultures with defined conditions using purified AT2s from mouse lungs.
