Summary
RNA-seq was used to profile the transcriptomes of 16 patients (8 with non-recurrence and 8 with recurrence). Transcriptome analysis showed that sex differences in gene expression from thyroid cancer patients with and without recurrence. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) revealed TNFa signaling pathway was differentially regulated between male and female patients, providing insights into the complexity of gene expression changes underlying sex disparities.
