Identification of IPF Specific Genes Expressed by Lung Tissue - Derived Fibroblasts Using Next Generation Sequencing

GSE301181 Homo sapiens Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 43 samples 2026/05/15 GPL24676
Summary
This study presents transcriptomic profiling of primary lung fibroblasts derived from patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and histologically normal controls. Total RNA sequencing was performed to identify differentially expressed genes associated with fibroblast activation in IPF. A total of 43 samples (33 IPF and 10 controls) were analyzed. The results revealed robust gene expression changes in IPF fibroblasts, with significant enrichment in extracellular matrix organization and collagen-related pathways. This dataset provides a valuable resource for understanding the molecular landscape of IPF fibroblasts and may facilitate the identification of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
