Summary
Neutral lipid levels (Bodipy 493/503) were increased in aged CD8⁺ T cells. We thus selectively removed the lipid sensing transcription factor Rxra and Rxrb in T-lineage cells (Cd4-Cre⁺/⁻ Rxra^f/f Rxrb^f/f; hereafter TDKO). Preliminary phenotyping confirmed that TDKO mice harbour a higher frequency of senescent (fSA-βGal⁺) CD8⁺ T cells relative to wild-type (WT) controls, prompting a comparative survey.
