Bulk RNA sequencing analysis of human airway basal stem cells stimulated by BALF from mouse fibrotic lungs and normal lungs

GSE305984 Homo sapiens Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 6 samples Submitted 2025/11/24 Platform GPL34284
Summary
To understand how the microenvironment of fibrotic lungs affects the behavior of airway basal stem cells (BCs), we constructed a mouse model of pulmonary fibrosis using bleomycin induced injury, and collected bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) from the control group and bleomycin damaged mice on day 14 after injury. Then, human BCs were stimulated with control or bleomycin BALF in culture and subjected to bulk RNA sequencing. Transcriptomic analysis showed that basal stem cells stimulated with bleomycin BALF upregulated genes related to chemotaxis and migration, and activated the TGF-β pathway.
