Summary
Local metabolic signals can influence the transcriptional response. To better understand the effect of the microenvironment in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC), we compared pancreatic tumor interstitial fluid media (TIFM - described by Muir et al., eLife 2023) to regular media in two PDAC cell lines, MiaPaCa and Panc1, under two conditions, normoxia and hypoxia.
