Summary
Gulf War Illness (GWI) is a chronic multisymptom disorder associated with prior stress and toxicant exposures. Adult male C57BL/6J mice were exposed to corticosterone (CORT) and diisopropyl fluorophosphate (DFP), followed by repeated intermittent CORT and a later immune challenge with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or saline. ATAC-seq was performed in hippocampus and frontal cortex to assess chromatin accessibility responses associated with persistent neuroimmune priming.
