Summary
Apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (APE1/Ref-1) plays an essential role in ROS-sensitive transcriptional regulation in esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). While the redox function of APE1 is known to modulate the activity of multiple transcription factors, its global downstream targets in EAC remain to be fully characterized. This study investigates APE1-redox-dependent transcriptional regulation by targeting OE33 cells with the APE1-redox-specific inhibitor, APX2009, to map the underlying gene expression networks.
