About this role

Research Assistant

The Lloyd Lab, funded by CRUK, aims to understand the homeostasis and regeneration of the peripheral nervous system and the roles of these processes in cancer. To deliver this role effectively you will need a combination of excellent understanding of molecular, cell biology and imaging, with a special focus on peripheral nerve biology as well the ability to establish effective and collaborative relationships.

Interviews are scheduled to take place in late October/early November 2026.

This is a fixed-term, part-time (18.25 hours/week) role ending on 30/04/2027.

The anticipated start date is: as soon as possible.

About You

The successful candidate will be part of a world-leading, collaborative research team studying peripheral nerve biology in health and disease.

The candidate should possess:

  • Strong technical and organizational skills
  • An extensive knowledge of research techniques and methodologies related to imaging
  • Experience in mouse work including colony management and in vivo work
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Willingness to contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment among team members and to advocate for and promote an endeavor of equality, diversity, and inclusion among colleagues and other LMCB members.

    Salary Range for Research Assistants on Grade 6B is: £39,148 – £41,833 (including London Allowance).
