Summary
Here we studied the effects of AP-3-84 treatment on gene expression in different types of macrophages: thioglycollate-induced macrophages, ascites macrophages from ID8 ovarian cancer-bearing mice, bone marrow-derived macrophages. We also studied whether AP-3-84 effects are mediated by p53 using bone marrow-derived macrophages from p53 KO mice. We found the dramatic changes in gene expression upon AP-3-84 treatment in all types of macrophages with the induction of major stress response programs and apoptosis signaling.
