Summary
Uterine fibroids are benign tumors of the uterus that disproportionately affect women, with significant racial disparities observed in their incidence, severity, and clinical outcomes. Despite these disparities, the molecular mechanisms underlying these racial differences remain poorly understood. This study aims to examine the transcriptome of whole human normal and at-risk myometrium as well as uterine fibroid tissues obtained from both Black and White women to gain insights into the genes and pathways contributing to this disparity.
