Single-cell RNA-seq data of large-scale bone calluses from skeletally immature and mature mice

GSE250200 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 4 samples Submitted 2025/09/05 Platform GPL30172
Summary
Age and skeletal maturity impacts the capacity for bone regeneration. Using a mouse model of large-scale rib resection, we demonstrated that skeletally immature mice regenerate the rib around 14 days post resection, whereas skeletally mature mice never fully regenerate the rib. Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of rib calluses from skeletally immature and mature mice at 5 and 14 days post-resection to characterize the age-related changes in cell population frequencies and their gene expression profiles during the early and late stages repair of bone repair.
