Summary
Purpose: Study of the influence of Sphingosine 18:1 in macrophages Method: 2μM Sphingosine 18:1 was added to BMDMs for 6 hours, solvent was added as control. mRNA profiles were generated by deep sequencing. Results: Several signaling pathways were changed after Sphingosine administration, including hypoxia-related signal pathway. RT-quantitive PCR was performed to validate the expression of Epas1 and its downstream target genes, results showed that Sphingosine 18:1 significantly inhibits Epas1 expression.
