Colonic RNA expression profile of mice after long-term exposure to PFOA

GSE267305 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 6 samples Submitted 2026/05/31 Platform GPL24247
Summary
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a persistent organic pollutant known for its chemical stability, is widely dispersed in the environment, posing significant health risks to mammals through various exposure routes such as ingestion, inhalation, and dermal contact. In this study, we established a long-term exposure mouse model to PFOA to investigate the toxic effects of PFOA on the mouse colon. We identified differentially expressed genes through RNA sequencing and validated the impact of PFOA on the expression of these genes in colon tissue. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the damage to mouse colon tissue caused by long-term exposure to PFOA.
