Summary
In this study, we further elucidate the mechanism of action of one of the most effective antitumor PUFAs, ω-3 docosahexaenoic acid, on MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, including those with IGFBP6 knockdown. Additionally, we analyzed the effect of reduced IGFBP6 gene expression on the mechanism of ferroptosis in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells under the influence of the canonical ferroptosis inducer erastin.
