LTBP4 Deficiency Inhibits NLRP3 Inflammasome Activation in Cardiomyocytes and Attenuates Heart Failure

GSE287829 Mus musculus Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing 6 samples Submitted 2026/04/09 Platform GPL24247Platform GPL13112
Summary
The complex mechanisms underlying the roles of inflammation in heart failure remain incompletely understood. In this study, we elucidate the significant role of LTBP4 in heart failure. LTBP4 was capable of promoting the interaction between NLRP3 and NEK7 and activating the NLRP3 inflammasome signaling pathway. The 1574-1624 amino acids of LTBP4 were essential for this process. Inhibition of LTBP4 improves heart function post-TAC, highlighting its potential as a new therapeutic target for heart failure.
