Summary
The selection of an appropriate Cre line is critical for ensuring the accuracy of cell type–specific investigations. We generated a Tpsb2-CreERT2 mouse line that enables precise and efficient labeling of target mast cells, with no detectable off-target recombination or cytotoxic effects, making it a reliable tool for lineage tracing and functional studies. To assess potential Cre-mediated toxicity, we performed transcriptomic analysis of peritoneal mast cells, which revealed no significant alterations in gene expression profiles, further supporting the importance of this model.
