Summary
In this study, multi-level branching lung organoids (BLOs) were generated from primary tip epithelial cells. Single-cell RNA sequencing demonstrated that BLOs comprise proximal airway and distal alveolar epithelial cell populations, faithfully modeling the developmental trajectory of distal lung epithelial lineages in vitro.
