Summary
The molecular mechanisms that govern muscle atrophy (as seen in disuse or aging) remain incompletely defined. Through RNA-seq of human muscle, we confirm observations from mice that extensive remodeling of the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) occurs in human denervated muscle.
