Summary
As tumor progression occurs, liver cancer cells are often in a state of nutrient deprivation, particularly lacking glucose. We found that microvesicles secreted by liver cancer cells under glucose-free conditions can promote tumorigenesis and progression. The specific mechanism involves enhancing neutrophil expression of PD-L1 and VEGFA, thereby suppressing T cell cytotoxicity and promoting angiogenesis.This phenotype is abolished after Ezrin knockout in liver cancer cells.
